1 Timothy 1:5

5 The purpose of my instruction is that all Christian’s there would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and sincere faith.

Well the wifi at the hotel isn’t working here in Colorado so I’m currently blogging from my phone. Not my favorite thing I’ve done. No excuses right! My trip to visit my sister has been amazing. We did yoga yesterday, climbed a mountain, enjoy a beautiful view, my sister erin surprised us! What a day!

So as I was reading through 1 Timothy this verse really stuck out because of the yoga we did yesterday. It was an hour long session with an instructor who had been practicing yoga for a quarter century!

What really caught me was he kept talking about clear conscience, and pure hearts. He was very knowledgeable and reminded us how healing this process was to our mind and body.

I love meditation. I’m confident Jesus meditated when he would go off and pray many times in the Bible. It helps us listen and focus. Meditation blocks out distractions and allows our mind to slow down and take control. I feel like we could benefit a lot by it helping us focus during prayer and our walk in general with Jesus. It will begin to clear our thoughts and helping us live more pure lives through our friend Jesus.

Do I need to start meditating?

What does it look like to meditate?

Dear Lord, help us to continue to be open to new things in our faith. You are the Creator of all things and for that we thank you. Amen.

Have a great day!
