2 Timothy 3:15-17

15 You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

A lot of these people during this time only knew about the law. Jesus wasn’t worldwide at this point and if he was; people didn’t know the real Jesus. They thought He was this guy coming down to earth telling everyone how to live and what to do. When really he was telling everyone, “I want to live with you and do life with you.”

Scriptures are so important as it says above, but why? Without Scriptures we are kind of just making rules as we go along or going by what someone else told us about something. Isn’t that kind of crazy to think about? We try to figure this all out on our own sometimes when God gave us a perfect playbook on how to thrive.

Basic. Instructions. Before. Leaving. Earth. The Bible has everything you could want to know about anything. It  shows how to handle your family, friends, girlfriends, spouse, kids, you name it. It has how to handle certain situations, how we should treat people, what Heaven will look like; The Bible has all the answers, we just have to start reading.

I have been a follower of Jesus for about five years now and couldn’t find a good rhythm of reading my bible until about a month ago. God had put it on my heart multiple times to start a blog and I finally was like, “screw it, lets do this!” Now here I am, learning more about Jesus than ever and growing closer to Him every day. I want that for you too.

Am I reading the Bible daily?

How can I start being intentional about reading the Bible?

Dear Lord, thank you for giving us all we need and more today. We love you and thank you for Your son Jesus and the sacrifices He has made. Amen.

Have a great day!

C. Lyman
