1 Peter 1:8-9
8 You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. 9 The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
We can feel wind. We can experience the power of wind through tornadoes, hurricanes, and cyclones. But we can’t physically see wind. It is just moving air caused by pressure differences in the atmosphere. We believe wind exists still. Almost everyone can agree wind is a part of our world. What about Jesus?
Sure people said they saw him thousands of years ago, and for the record I do believe that. Set that aside. Lets talk about right now. We can’t physically see Jesus. He is in heaven. But I have experienced the power of Jesus. I have felt Jesus and the Spirit enter into my life. I have seen Jesus in other people.
This is faith. Believing in something even though you can’t see it. Faith is powerful. It is tricky too. We need to have faith in all areas of our life. Our future, our relationships, and ourselves. Jesus is clearly most important if you’re a follower. He has, can, and will change your life and the lives of those around you. He will fill you up daily and leave you with never ending joy. Only if we say yes to Jesus and have faith.
“You can argue about Jesus, but you can’t argue about a changed life through Him.” -Unknown
Dear Lord, you are all powerful and abundant in love. We thank you for the ability to believe in You. Help us to have consistent faith throughout our day. Amen.
Have a great day!
