2 Peter 1:3

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

What does it mean to know someone? Does it mean you watch all their Instagram stories? Does it mean you like all there pictures? Does it mean you snapchat them? Does it mean you play video games with them? It is possible to know someone and do all these things, but these things do not mean you know someone.

Knowing someone means knowing their heart. Knowing their deepest desires. Their deepest fears. Lets start with you. Do you know yourself? Do you know your hearts desires? What about your biggest fears? Your dreams? No? I have just the guy for you.

You guessed it, Jesus! He wants to know you. He want to help open our hearts. In coming to know Jesus we will find ourselves. We will find who He made us to be. Our hopes and desires will begin to come to life. Only when we truly know Him.

Truly knowing Jesus doesn’t mean acknowledging He exists. It means spending time with Him. Talk to him. He’ll never send you to voicemail. Pray with Him. He is always available. Praise Him. Who doesn’t like to be praised. Learn about him. Ask Him questions. In order to be known we must know our Creator, who’s name is Jesus.

How can I come to know Jesus?

Who do I need to help feel known?

Dear Lord, thank you for this day! You didn’t have to wake us up today, but you did and for that reason we want to make today count. Help us come to know you more today. Amen.

Have a great day!

C. Lyman

p.s. my birthday may or may not be tomorrow 😉
