2 Peter 1:12-13

12 So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have. 13 I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live

I always set reminders on my phone. I set reminders to pray, call people, pay rent, and do different things. Without them, there is a low chance I would remember to do them at all. These are little reminders, but they mean a lot.

Often times its the little things that have a big impact on our life. The big things in our life come from small steps. Reminders are small steps in the right direction. A reminder to be patient. To love. To be slow to speak and slow to anger. These are essential for our consistency within our faith.

We can remind ourselves all day about different aspects of our faith, but when the game really changes is when we bring others into the conversation. I believe other people need to be reminded they are loved. They need to be reminded you’re proud of them. They need to be reminded they matter.

Jesus is what we tend to finish with because Jesus is what matters in the end. This needs to be a reminder to us all. Jesus can guide you. Jesus will help you guide others. All you need to do is follow Him. Remind yourself daily of this.

What do I need to remind myself of?

What can I remind my friends of?

Dear Lord, thank you for the Bible as it is a constant reminder of how to live in your love and grace. You are a reminder that we are free. You are a reminder of our purpose. Thank you. Amen.

Have a great day!

C. Lyman
