Soon.

Revelation 1:1

This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soon take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John,

I am hesitant to write about this book in the bible for a couple reasons. First, it gets pretty REAL pretty quick. Second, my knowledge of it is not where I would like it to be. I will do my best to take ideas in the text and apply them to our life. Please let me know if something I am saying is off.

From what I know, the book of Revelation was given to us to help us understand how this all would end and the events that would take place. There are many creatures and different things the bible talks about, but I will try and focus on some themes we can use.

“Too soon it’ll be too late.” This is a quote I think of when I read or hear of Revelation. Revelation gives me a sense of urgency. One day it’ll be too late to take your relationship with Jesus seriously. One day your friends and family will be gone. Some might not know Jesus.

I want to see all of my friends and family go to Heaven. I need to love them and remind them of the love Jesus has for them. Jesus is patient, but He also cares a lot about you. He knows the longer you are away from Him, the harder it will be to truly grow close and impact others. Lets quit waiting around. Whatever is on your heart; do it sooner rather than later.

What is God calling me into?

What is God calling me out of?

Dear Lord, thank you for the hope we have in You. I pray we use this final story you have given us as fuel to spread Your name. Amen.

Have a great day!

C. Lyman
