Hope.

Revelation 7:16-17

16 ‘Never again will they hunger;
    never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’
    nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
    will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
    ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”

Perfectly full. Perfect weather. Perfect shepherd. Perfect joy. These sound like some things I would be down for. These are some things that are promised to us in the Scriptures. These things give us hope, but we must know who our hope is truly in.

Often times when I think about Heaven I think about being made new. I think about my friend Todd who had cerebral palsy and is now running around in Heaven. I think about my grandma who passed away from lung cancer getting the freshest breath of air with every inhale. I think about hope for what life can look like in Heaven.

For me, my hope is to hangout with Jesus and all my friends with pure joy. No more sorrow. No more pain. Just joy and worship. It gets me pretty excited just thinking about it all. I’m so thankful this hope exists.

We need to remember Jesus is our true hope. Jesus sacrificed to give us hope. We were doomed until He came. Now that He has come, we are able to have new life here on earth and eventually in Heaven. My prayer is we would share this hope with others. I want all my friends and family to experience this hope. Lets get it started! *queue black eyed peas.

Do I put my hope in Jesus?

Do I talk to others about Jesus?

Dear Lord, thank you for the hope you have given us through Your son Jesus. Our hope is to glorify Your name and lead others to your amazing hope. Amen.

Have a great day!

C. Lyman
