Genesis 21:1-2

The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the time God had said it would.

God promised Abraham a son. Abraham didn’t really know when or how it would happen, but he knew God would provide Isaac at the perfect time. Abraham didn’t try to do it all himself. He knew he couldn’t. All he could do was trust God and be obedient in what He was telling him.

Lets take this into our own lives. I know for me when I want something to happen, I have a hard time just waiting for it. If I want a job, I go out and find a job. This is a good strategy most times because we can’t just be bums! But other times God is telling us to let Him take over. In these moments we are called to submit.

God is never late. He is never early. God is perfect and so is His timing. Always remember that. If something hasn’t happened in your life that you wanted, it’s because God has something GREAT in store for you soon. I believe we have to fully submit and trust God in order for Him to move in miracle-like ways.

He’s waiting. God’s waiting for you to submit your plans for His. He is waiting for you to believe in the deepest crevice of your heart that His timing is perfect and is worth trusting. If you are struggling because something hasn’t occurred yet in your life, give God a call. He is always willing to answer and He is THE answer.

What is God having me wait for?

How can I be more intentional to trust His timing?

Dear Lord, thank you for this day. It is rainy, but Lord days like these help us appreciate the sunshine. Just like tough times help us appreciate the good. Let us go all in today on your timing. Amen.

Have a great day!
