Leviticus 2:1

“‘When anyone brings a grain offering to the Lord, their offering is to be of the finest flour. They are to pour olive oil on it, put incense on it

There are a lot of qualifications that come with a grain offering. A lot of details that seemingly must be checked off the list before the offering is presented to the Lord. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t have been very good at this. I mean if it were a matter of getting a blessing or not I would’ve learned, but I am generally a pretty simple person.

I think their is a deeper meaning behind the grain offering and I would love some input if you have some. Here is what God put on my heart to share. When we offer ourselves to the Lord there aren’t any check lists or qualifications. If there were I am sure I wouldn’t make the cut.

The God I know and love doesn’t care where you have been and what you have done. He also doesn’t care about what you are doing right now. He does care, but hear what I am saying. God accepts you right where you are at. Struggling with a sin? Invite God into your life. Succeeding at the highest level? Invite God into your life. He will take you as you are.

When we come to God He doesn’t look at who we were, He looks at who we will become. With a promising heart God can do wonders. God offers much to us and so I believe we should offer much to Him AND His people. Think today about how you can offer more to God and to others. The way your life is lived will be shook. I know mine was.

What do I offer to God?

Do I accept others the way God accepts me?

Dear Lord, You are all powerful and you love unconditionally. May we model our love after you and put others above ourselves. Amen.

Have a great day!

C. Lyman
