Judah Smith

How many times do we value people who can do something for us? Whether physically. Whether financially. Whether emotionally. We favor those who can do something for us, but we don’t favor those who can do nothing.

Now that is why in James 1:26, “I want you to go spend time with orphans and widows.” Which is to say, “those who can do nothing in return.” Who can do nothing for you. But you love them. Do you know why God emphasizes this? Because that’s what he did for YOU…

God wants you to look like Him. God wants you to live like Him. Jesus came to show us the way. Listen, while you were still sinners I died for you. you could do nothing for me, John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son so that whosoever believes in me shall not perish, but have eternal life.” whosoever…

I’m going to give my life whether you reject me or accept me because I am who I am and I do what I do because I am the same yesterday, now and forever…

Dear Lord, thank you for this brief message from Pastor Judah. May we start to look more like Jesus in how we serve. Open our eyes to those who can do nothing for us. Give us love and compassion to shower over them. Amen.

Have a great day!

C. Lyman
