Dear Lord, thank you for waking us up today! It is so cool waking up and knowing a new day is ahead of us. Though most of today has come and gone, help us make the most of what is left! We love you and praise you. Amen.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Today I want to keep it short and sweet. No beating around the bush, lets get right to the meat of the verse. God will always love you. He actually loves you the most He ever could this very moment until the end of time. God knows your past mistakes. He knows the mistakes you are making now. He knows the mistakes you will make in the future. Guess what? He still freaking loves you! How does that even make sense…
In Genesis, we learn that we are made in the image of God. We are perfect and blameless in His eyes. I love hearing God referred to as a father, with all of us as His children. A father should love his sons and daughters unconditionally. Yes we will mess up, but that doesn’t change how God feels about us.
“Okay okay, I get it Colin, God loves me, now what?” God proved His love by sacrificing His only Son for us. I think the least we could do is sacrifice some of our personal desires for His. What makes it even better is that Gods plan is always more creative, more purposeful, and more awesome than we could ever imagine on our own.
Look at your own life. Is there anything that makes you feel separated from God? Because if you feel that’s true, I’ll urge you to talk to God about it. I promise He will tell you, “I am not mad at you and I don’t hate you for doing those things, I will always love you because you are my child.”
I will leave you with this truth… God loves you right where you are at, but loves you way too much to keep you there.
I hope you enjoyed reading a little bit about Jesus with me today! Thank you for following along. Please feel free to comment your thoughts or any words of encouragement to others.
Have a great weekend!
